The 2010 tournament was the biggest ever with the final watched by over 13,000 fans in the Helsinki Hartwall stadium. It was also shown on Eurosport in about 46 countries and via the web. Between 10% and 20% of the host nation's entire population watched the final match.
Finland beat Sweden in the final by 6 goals to 2 and
Czech Republic beat Switzerland by 9 goals 3, after two intense matches.

SOME INTERESTING FACTS
The teams were on average substituting all the outfield players every 45 seconds, even when there wasn't a natural break in the match.
Many teams were using up to 3 lines (of 5 outfield players) plus netminder.
There were over 12000 spectators for the final and many more watched at home on Eurosport and Swedish national television.
Globen Stadium, Stockholm
The World Championships in 2006 was an amazing event, held in Stockholm's
spherical, world class stadium over the last week in May. Several of
the members of Southern Vipers Floorball Club bought tickets and here
are some of the things we saw during our trip.
Sweden won WFC 2006 beating Finland 7 goals to 6 but only after a goal in 'sudden death' extra time. Finland were down to 4 outfield players after a contraversial sending off when Sweden scored. Make your own mind up after watching the video!

Our reporter in Switzerland
Sweden took the crown back from Finland again in an
11-5 shocker in Zurich. The Swiss team also romped home to a comfortable
3rd place beating a superb German side who achieved the best ever result
for this up and coming floorball nation. Vipers own photos are shown

The GB Under-19s team including 6 Vipers players (Adam Lyford, Sam Adler, Luke Murphy, Mats Carlsson, Santtu Rantala and Chris Gladney) pulled off a historic result in Madrid in the Men's U19 WFC qualifiers. It was only the first time that Team GB has entered a team to the U-19 Qualifiers and they got their first win, 9-5 over Ukraine. The matches are on Youtube:

13 players and coaches the Farnham junior club travelled to Gothenburg
to train with a top Swedish floorball team, Pixbo, and to watch the
finals of WFC2014. FUFC would like to thank all the players and coaches
